hb Lilly, William Christian Astrology 3rd Regulus Publishing Co. 1985 £495 A fine facsimile edition including a colour portrait of Lilly that was absent from the original 17th-century editions. This edition has become highly collectible. Original full imitation leather cloth in near-fine condition, with short tear to cloth over lower outer corner of rear board, else fine. The gilt titling to the spine remains strong and bright. The gilt to the top edge of the page block is still gleaming and whole. Internally unmarked and fine except for slight strain to inner paper hinge following half-title page, which if necessary could be reinforced at a later date. See picture gallery for close-up of the affected paper-hinge. Original errata sheet laid in, with one neat blue hand-inked page number correction to it. Also laid in, publisher’s original 3-panel fold-out leaflet headed Fixed Stars Mentioned in Christian Astrology. An exceptionally well-conserved, complete and unblemished copy of this fine facsimile.
