Original full pale yellow-green cloth in near-fine condition, with minor bump to lower outer corner of rear board, but almost no visible wear or staining. Top edge of page block originally dyed deep green, but dye has somewhat faded. This copy formerly owned by prominent American mundane astrologer and pioneering astrological magazine editor Alma Crawford Graning, with her charming pictorial bookplate to front paste-down. Endpapers lightly toned. Plain-pencilled bookseller inventory number to ffep. Very occasional traces of plain-pencilled mark-up, e.g. brackets around last 3 lines of text on p. 57, but no permanent markings or other faults found. An excellent copy of the first edition, made more valuable by the bookplate of Alma Crawford Graning
