Original textured card covers in near-fine condition, with author names hand-inked to spine else about fine. Original owner’s name in black ink to upper margin of title page, dated 1960, together with some plain-pencilled bookseller notes. Red-pencilled underlining to pp. 16-17 only. No other permanent markings found. Plain-pencilled underlining and occasional marginal bracketing and / or annotations to several other pages. Crease across upper outer margin of leaf comprising pp. 93-4. This copy with former owner’s plain-pencilled astrological calculations on a folded piece of graph paper laid in as a bonus. A near-excellent copy of the rare first edition, let down only by the two pages with coloured pencil underlining.
