Near-fine for its age, with light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and outer corners of boards, and tiny bump to bottom edge of front board. Gilt still strong and bright. Free endpapers slightly toned. Early owner’s signature, dated April 1936, in brown ink to ffep, which also bears two former plain-pencilled bookseller prices, the earlier of which has been struck through in pencil.
