hb Tucker, Wm. J. Forecasting World Events 1st Pythagorean Publications 1960 £175 First printing, October 1960. [ix] + 61 + [pp. 64-349]. The error is in the pagination. In all copies of this book I have seen, page 61 is backed with page 64, and the text is continuous expect for the repetition of the word ‘was’. Original large-format full red cloth in fine condition; gilt titling to front board and spine still bright and strong. Vintage New York bookseller’s neat small printed address label to lower inner corner of front paste-down. Many pages printed at very slight angle to the paper cut (not quite horizontal). Faint plain-pencilled former bookseller inventory number to half-title page. A studious former owner has sparingly added plain-pencilled astrological glyphs to the margins of some pages and corrected a few misprinted glyphs in the text, again in plain pencil, with occasional other plain-pencilled corrections or marginal notes, all of which are astrologically pertinent but could be erased if unwanted. These were found only on pp. 35-7, 40-1, 43, 50, 53-7, 59-60, 205, 227, and 332-4, although it’s so faint and unobtrusive that I might not have spotted all instances even while turning every page in the book. Minor black ink smudge to upper margin of p. 344 matches that in our other copy and is therefore presumed in print on all copies. No previous owner markings or other faults found. An excellent copy of this rare mundane astrology reference book.
