Lippincott Company, Philadelphia / London 1937 £50   Original full beige cloth in near-fine condition, with hint of rubbing to top of spine if you look closely; strong blue titling to front board and spine. In vgc+ original red dj, with 3mm tear to top of front spine hinge, liquid stain to bottom cm of spine, and light chipping to three extremities of flap-folds; both flaps clipped at outer corners, apparently as issued. Endpapers toned at inner margins. Ffep with interesting early Christmas gift presentation note dated 1942, and recent address sticker of astrologer who owned it last. No markings found to any printed pages. Slight indentation to parts of outer edges of a couple of pages, of no significance. Overall, an excellent copy of the first edition, in vgc+ original dj.
