In good but fragile publisher’s pictorial dj (marked ‘Book Club Edition’) with light chipping to head of spine and extremities of flap-folds; foot of spine a little more heavily chipped, including area 1 cm from foot of rear hinge; small chip lost from top edge of rear panel, fading to spine, internal tearing to parts of rear flap-fold, patch of adhesive residue to front panel, and some dark-staining to rear panel. Damp-staining to lower inner corner of front paste-down and of ffep, with trace to equivalent area of half-title page. Bookseller’s plain-pencilled note to upper margin of ffep. The remaining pages are clean and bright, with no markings found at a quick flick through. |
