This copy in the first-issue (black) dust jacket with printed price of $5.95 | Original full black cloth in near-fine condition, with virtually no visible wear, just a narrow vertical line of discoloration to central part of rear board. Gilt titling to spine still bright. In vgc dj, with light chipping to extremities of spine and of flap-folds; one-inch tear and two shorter tears to upper edge of rear panel; 5mm tear to lower edge of rear panel, and 2 cm tear to upper edge of front panel at inner margin. Front paste-down with former owner’s upside-down bookplate and a separate small corporate sticker ‘Vroman’s Pasadena’. No other internal markings or faults found.
