In near-fine dj, which has a patch of adhesive residue staining to spine, from the removal of a former label there. Old library stamp to closed bottom edge of page block. Ffep removed by a former owner; patch of brown paper adhesion to front paste-down, of unclear origin. Two tiny ink marks to half-title page. Copyright page with former library stamp to lower margin, superimposed on which is faint Withdrawal stamp. Further library stamps to upper margin of p. 1 and and lower outer margin of p. 293. No other markings or faults found. Overall, a vgc+ ex-library copy in near-fine dj. Not to be confused with print-on-demand reprints
