Spine hinges moderately rubbed; spine ends slightly frayed; outer corners of boards slightly bumped and worn. Tiny chip lost from outer edge of ffep. Old plain-pencilled price to title page. Contents complete and still properly bound. Binding strained but holding at joins between pp. 32-3 and 64-5. Some underlining, mostly plain-pencilled, but black-inked from pp. 58-64, 66-8 and 70-80, a few of which pages also have relevant old black-inked marginal annotations; and traces of pale red-pencilled at pp. 64-6 and 68-9. Still a good copy of the very rare first edition in its charming original binding. |
