The Astrolearn bookshop is temporarily closed for 14 days Friday December 13th to Thursday December 26th inclusive. This is because of the unreliability of the Christmas post and very high volumes of writing and editing work over this period. Please check back on Friday December 27th, when the shop will reopen and this notice will be removed.

Description
hb | Sepharial | Phrenoscopy | Early reprint | W. Foulsham & Co. Ltd., 10 & 11 Red Lion Court | n.d. | £60 | The publisher’s address dates this impression to the period from 1922-1939; it is most likely to be from the 1920s | Original full blue cloth in near-fine condition for age, with light wear to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards, very light rubbing along rear spine hinge, and a slight forward lean to spine. Gilt titling to front board remains strong and bright. Acidic free endpapers slightly browned as usual, and with small plain-pencilled bookseller marks on them (price to rear fep has been crossed out in later blue ink). Text pages clean and unmarked. Book remains strongly bound. An excellent antiquarian copy of an early impression of this book, retaining the design values of the original edition. |
