Foulsham & Co., 5 Pilgrim Street, Ludgate Circus, E.C. 1915 £75 Date from foreword matches the publisher address, showing this to be the true first edition Original full blue cloth in vgc+ condition, with moderate rubbing to foot of front spine hinge; light rubbing to tops of spine hinges, foot of rear hinge, and outer corners of boards. Blue cloth remains deep and unfaded to boards and spine. White titling strong to front board (with mild fading to small parts of box around main title); partially faded but decent to spine. Plain-pencilled numbers to upper margins of front end-papers; faint plain-pencilled sum to rear paste-down. Publication date added in plain pencil to title page. Plain-pencilled marginal bracketing and occasional underlinings to many pages within, with plain-pencilled marginal annotations to just a few. Small rust-like stain to outer margin of p. 107 has left slight effects to previous and next leaves in same area, far from text. No other permanent markings or faults found. A very good antiquarian original of the rare first edition
