Although the title page is undated, the binding design remains identical to that of the first impression, including the 1/- Net marking to front board, which was lost from all later printings | Original full green cloth with black zodiacal illustration to front board and black bordering and titling to front board and spine, as issued. Cloth in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and very light wear to tips of outer corners of boards; faint partial outline circular stain to part of front board, as though a mug were once put down on it, but it blends in inoffensively with the green of the cloth. Internally, a very clean copy, with no markings or other faults found. Overall, an excellent example of a very early impression (though not the first) of the Rider edition that was first published in 1913. |
