Ltd., 10 & 11 Red Lion Court n.d. £45 Library records give 1929, which matches the publisher address, supporting this being the true first edition Original full blue criss-cross-patterned cloth in vgc for age, with moderate wear to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards. Half-title page and final page of advertisements relatively browned as usual, from contact with acidic endpapers. Former owner’s hand-inked signature and separate address stamp to upper margin of half-title page. Hand-inked personal name of unclear significance within double inverted commas to upper margin of p. 9. Leaf comprising pp. 33-4 slightly weakly bound in at lowest 4 cm, but rest is strongly bound. Very occasional plain-pencilled marks by former owner (erasable). Overall, still a very good copy of the first edition
