hb/dj Lewi, Grant Scorpio’s Horoscope Book: Heaven Knows What 2nd The Sun Dial Press, Inc., Garden City, New York 1937 £55 Credited pseudonymously to ‘Scorpio’. After the original edition of 1935 Original large-format full red cloth in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and outer corners of boards; gilt titling and stars to front board, and gilt titling and logo to spine, remain strong and clear. In good+ original dj, which bears a 3½-inch tear down lower part of front spine hinge and exhibits general moderate edge-wear, with a few minor very small chips lost from extremities. The leaf of dials on card, whose contents were designed to be cut out, has had just two dials cut out, which are laid in; the others have been left bound in. Of the 8 double-sided leaves of horoscope blanks, the final leaf has been cut out and filled in (as designed) on one side with plain pencilled notes by a former owner, but retained and laid in. The other seven leaves are unmarked. For its age, an excellent copy overall.
