The advertisement on the rear dj panel for Fowler’s Ephemeris from 1955 to 1959 inclusive corroborates this being the original edition of 1955 Original full blue cloth in near-fine condition, with minimal rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards; gilt titling to front board and spine intact although slightly faded. In good+ original green paper dj, which has light chipping to foot of spine, a short open tear to top of front hinge of spine, 1 cm closed tear to top of rear spine hinge, and mostly minimal chipping to extremities of flap-folds. Endpapers partly toned. Ffep with plain-pencilled bookseller notes. No other internal markings or faults found. Overall, an excellent copy of the first edition, in near-very-good dust jacket.
