Date from library records: book undated in print Rebound in quarter green cloth with marbled paper-covered boards in variegated shades of green. Moderate wear to paper over three outer corners of boards; tiny nick in surface of front board; else near-fine. Dutch distributor’s stamp to lower margins of half-title page and title page. Light wear to 3mm patch of outer edges of first several leaves, and similarly short closed tears in same area as far as p. 20. Plain-pencilled note to upper margin of p. 4. Two tiny green ink droplet marks to lower margin of p. 66. Minimal red-pencilled underlining (4 words) to p. 101. Trace of fingerprint smudging to lower outer corner of final page of advertisements. No other faults found. A good, solidly rebound copy of the rare first edition overall.
