In good+ original dj, which exhibits light chipping to extremities of spine and of flap-folds, a one-inch tear towards lower outer corner of front panel; a few short tears to upper edge of rear panel; and a short internal tear to front flap-fold, plus a small blank old red-bordered label adhered over the lower part of the spine, partly crossing text, and a faint Chinese stamp to the blank central area of the front panel; plain-pencilled number to front panel and a couple of plain-pencilled marginal marks to front flap. Small old neatly adhered London bookseller label to front paste-down. Acidic endpapers toned; foxing to closed edges of page block and to some page margins, mostly those of early and late leaves. Faint Chinese stamp repeated to ffep and blank parts of half-title page and title page. Main text pages in the range of p. 7 to p. 16 with some plain-pencilled mark-up (underlining, marginal bracketing and marginal notes). No markings found beyond p. 16, and no permanent markings beyond title page. Overall, still a near-fine copy in a good+ dust jacket. |
