The true first impression Original pictorial glossy card covers in good- overall condition, with no tears but heavy diagonal crease across rear cover, rubbing along spine hinges, creasing to spine, wear to upper outer corner of rear cover; and moderate general edge-wear. Trace of liquid-staining to upper outer corner of inside of rear cover, which has had only minimal effects on the equivalent corners of the last few pages of the index (very mild rippling). Internally, a fairly well-studied copy, with blue-inked or black-inked marginal bracketing and occasional underlining to a good number of pages; very occasional inked marginal annotations (noted on pp. 182-3 and p. 187); and corrected dog-ears to a few upper outer corners, with residual traces of creasing to them. Still, a satisfactory complete study and reference copy of the sought-after first printing, which is rare in any condition
