The Astrolearn bookshop is temporarily closed for 14 days Friday December 13th to Thursday December 26th inclusive. This is because of the unreliability of the Christmas post and very high volumes of writing and editing work over this period. Please check back on Friday December 27th, when the shop will reopen and this notice will be removed.
Max Heindel – Astrologische Bibliothek XIII: Die Botschaft der Sterne 1921, Copy 2
£45.00
Description
hb | Heindel, Max; transl. von Sebottendorf, Rudolf | Astrologische Bibliothek XIII: Die Botschaft der Sterne | 1st | Theosophisches Verlagshaus, Leipzig | 1921 | £45 | 382 pp + [2 pages of advertisements]. German translation of The Message of the Stars. | This copy has apparently been rebound from the paperback edition in strong blue half-cloth with blue-veined green patterned paper-covered boards. Binding in near-fine condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and lower outer corners of boards. The dramatic red front cover, surmised to have been lifted from the paperback issue, has been glued fairly neatly over the front board (very slightly creased at outer margin), and retains the original partly gilt illustration and titling (the titling is very slightly faded in places). Page-edges speckled green, presumed at time of rebinding. Small green circular sticker to lower outer corner of front paste-down; another to upper outer corner of rear paste-down, which separately bears plain-pencilled bookseller notes. Light rippling to inner margin of title leaf. Tiny ink stain to p. 120 falls between two successive lines and does not affect legibility of text. The pages generally remain in very good, clean condition, and solidly bound. |
