hb/dj Moore, Marcia and Douglas, Mark Astrology: The Divine Science 1st Arcane Publications 1971 £200 Introduced by Dane Rudhyar. Moore was infamously murdered; her murder has never been solved. Original purple cloth in vgc+ condition, with moderate wear to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards; gilt titling to spine still strong and bright. In vgc+ dj, with light chipping to top of spine and top of rear flap-fold; moderate wear to foot of rear spine hinge; and gloss layer peeling from upper margin of rear panel. Page-edges dyed purple-pink, as issued; dye remains strong. Former owner’s pictorial bookplate to ffep. Paper hinge immediately before title page slightly strained, exposing part of webbing; could do with reinforcement. Former owner’s occasional plain-pencilled annotations in small writing, chiefly names of people she knew with certain placements. No permanent markings or other faults found. For its age, an excellent copy of the sought-after first edition.
