hb/dj Jones, Marc Edmund The Sabian Symbols in Astrology 1st Sabian Publishing Company, New York 1953 £95 The true first edition of this book Original full blue-grey cloth in vgc, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards; gilt titling to spine somewhat age-faded as usual, but still clear. In mylar-protected good+ original dj, which shows chipping to top of spine, to the upper inner corner of front panel, and along much of the top edge of the rear panel, as well as to the extremities of the flap-folds, and very slightly to the feet of the spine hinges, but is otherwise sound, with a few minor tears and stains, and the lettering to the spine somewhat faded. Ffep with indentation to top caused by former paper clip held there. Half-title page with plain-pencilled bookseller notes to upper margin. Inked dash to outer margin of p. 21, slip-of-a-pen mark to lower margin of p. 324, and outer-marginal dots to pp. 424-5 (one each, part of index), but no other permanent internal markings found.
