metal pegs Jones, Marc Edmund [Lecture Lessons]: Theosophical Astrology and Directional Astrology 1st None stated 1931-1932 £250 Comprises Theosophical Astrology, Lessons 901-925, issued 11/16/31 to 05/02/32, and Directional Astrology, Lessons 977-1000, issued 5/9/32 to 10/17/32. Both sets of lessons on single-sided very long leaves of typescript, as issued. Collates complete. Pagination: [1] + 50 + [1] + [48] leaves. Both sets of original sheets have here been bound together in a half-folder with three metal pegs or studs through the upper margins and a hand-inked title label to the front of the half-folder. The binding partly obscures the page numbers and running titles that were printed at the very tops of each sheet, but the text is all clear and easily accessible. Early blue half-folder matching the exceptionally tall size format of the printed sheets in good overall condition, with several short marginal edge-tears and some marginal creasing. The binding remains secure. Theosophical Astrology with minor horizontal creasing to part of Table of Contents leaf only, and inoffensive marginal blue-inked annotations and / or brackets to four later leaves. Directional Astrology with minor edge-wear to outer edges of leaves 6, 20 and 50 (far from text), faint plain-pencilled single words added to upper inner margins of leaves 11 and 15; 4 cm tear to outer edge of leaf 38, with associated creasing and minor chipping to part of the outer margin but without loss of text. No other faults found. The one noted tear notwithstanding, an excellent survival of these exceptionally scarce important astrological works by Jones in a very early printing, and absolutely complete.
