In good dj, which is chipped to top of spine and lightly to tail of spine and extremities of flap-folds; 4 cm tear to top of rear flap-fold; light browning to spine; light rubbing to rear spine hinge and parts of flap-folds. Internally, ten pages found lightly marked up with a studious student’s neat blue ink summaries in occasional upper margins, and / or blue-inked or black-inked underlining of small areas of the text (pp. 7, 9, 28-9, 42, 59, 61, 65, 78 and 163); and a tiny blue-inked page reference found to p. 147. I did not find permanent markings to the other pages, although it is possible I may have missed a small number. Some other pages have plain-pencilled underlining and annotations (erasable). Traces of foxing to outer margin of p. 139. Plain-pencilled abbreviation of unclear significance to rear paste-down. A carefully studied copy with some previous owner markings, factored into price, that otherwise remains in excellent structural condition, with a good although imperfect dust jacket. |
