Original full blue cloth in vgc, with light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and outer corners of boards; gilt titling to spine still fairly strong and bright. In mylar-protected original pictorial dj, which is relatively sun-browned at the spine, but structurally in vgc, with very light chipping to part of top of spine (4mm at most), tops of flap-folds and part of top of front flap, else fine. This copy signed by author in blue ink, in his characteristic florid hand (which I have authenticated by comparing with another signature of his) to upper inner margin of half-title page. The pages are otherwise free from any markings I could find, and remain bright, fresh and strongly bound. Overall, an excellent signed copy of the 2nd edition, in very good dust jacket. |
