Inner spine remains strong and intact, and boards securely attached. Traces of scuffing to upper margins of front and rear endpapers; creasing to inner margins of paste-downs. Front inner paper hinge partly cracked in central area, but otherwise strong. Plain-pencilled price to upper margin of ffep. Title page with L. N. Fowler address label to lower margin. Pages 57-60 with tears from bottom edges up lowest two inches of extreme inner margins, not affecting text. Internally, a very clean copy, with no previous owner markings found to any printed page. A good study copy of this early edition, priced to sell.
