Complete with 6-panel fold-out star map tipped in to rear paste-down, as issued. Original limp pebbled cloth in near-fine condition for age, with only light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and tips of outer corners of boards; slight crease across lower outer corner of front board. Gilt-blocked decorative titling and picture to front board remains strong and bright; gilt-blocked titling to spine partially faded but decent for its age. Traces of staining to two closed edges of page block. Upper margin of title page with small hole extending to a 2 cm closed tear and adjacent patch of surface scuffing, not affecting printed part of page. Corrected dog-ear to upper outer corner of leaf comprising pp. 49-50. No other faults or internal markings found. The fold-out star chart is in excellent condition. Overall, an exceptionally fine copy for its age, despite the slight damage to the upper margin of the title page
