Front and rear covers held in place by opaque tape down gutters between them and adjoining pages. First and last leaves with chipping to outer edges, far from text. Leaves comprising pp. 17-24 chipped at lower outer margins, not affecting text. All leaves from title page to p. 78 together in a block but disbound. Further opaque tape repair to gutter between pp. 124-5; there may be other tape. Stain down inner margin of p. 79 suggests a former taped repair to p. 78 has been removed. Occasional marginal water-staining. A poor reading copy of an interesting book that could be improved with further archival tape repairs. |
