The first two editions are very rare; the third of 1911 is the earliest you are likely to find. A later David McKay edition is more common. | Original full deep red cloth in near-fine condition for age, with almost no visible wear, just a trace of very light rubbing to extremities of spine and slight bumping to outer corners of boards; boards with very occasional slight staining or discoloration. Front paste-down with (erasable) plain-pencilled price and large number. Ffep with faint plain-pencilled bookseller notes, and a couple of minor edge-tears. Title leaf with small hole through upper outer margin, far from text, and a few adjacent tiny pin-prick marks. Red early Foulsham address stamp (5 Pilgrim Street) above original printed publisher details to title page. No previous owner markings or other faults found.
