The Astrolearn bookshop is temporarily closed for 14 days Friday December 13th to Thursday December 26th inclusive. This is because of the unreliability of the Christmas post and very high volumes of writing and editing work over this period. £50.00
Description
hb | Wilde, George | A Primer of Astrology for Beginners | 3rd | The Rexo Publishing Company, 3 Central Street, Halifax, Yorkshire | 1911 | £50 | The first two editions are very rare; the third of 1911 is the earliest you are likely to find. A later David McKay edition is more common. | Original full deep red cloth in near-fine condition, with almost no visible wear. Front inner paper hinge separating at lowest 2 cm only, with remainder intact. Trace of reddish staining to upper and outer edges of second ffep, which has a small chip lost from its outer edge. Inner paper hinge between pp. 4 and 5 cracked and would benefit from strengthening, though underlying binding strong. No markings or other faults found. Contents complete in 88 pages + vintage advertisements. Overall, an excellent copy of this desirable early edition |
