The Astrolearn bookshop is temporarily closed for 14 days Friday December 13th to Thursday December 26th inclusive. This is because of the unreliability of the Christmas post and very high volumes of writing and editing work over this period. Please check back on Friday December 27th, when the shop will reopen and this notice will be removed.
Fritz Brunhübner; translated Julie Baum – Pluto 1971
£55.00
Description
hb | Brunhübner, Fritz; tr. Baum, Julie | Pluto | 2nd | American Federation of Astrologers | 1971 | £55 | 1st and only AFA hardback edition, April 1971, after the original workmanlike National Astrological Library edition of August 1966, which was the first edition of this English translation, translated by Julie Baum from the German first edition of 1935. The hardback edition is the more desirable one although it came slightly later | Original full maroon cloth in vgc+ condition, structurally sound, with almost no wear, but with trace of white paint splatter (or similar stain) to lowest two inches of spine, small black ink stain to inner margin of rear board, and boards both slightly bowed, so that they splay outwards slightly when unsupported by other books in a shelf. Original L. N. Fowler publisher and bookseller address label to ffep. Slightest trace of a water stain to part of outer margin of preliminary leaf iii, which has been confined to that one leaf and not affected the rest of the book. Minor traces of ink-staining or thumb-prints to occasional lower margins; and minor slip-of-a-blue-pen marks to rear paste-down, but no deliberate previous-owner markings or other faults found. A very good copy overall. |
