Author’s real surname was Wehofer; his pen-name was an anagram of this | Original quarter black cloth with blue paper-covered boards. In vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and to paper at outer corners of boards; colour to spine lettering faded away but stamped lettering still visible. Boards very clean for age, and binding strong. Upper part of inner paper hinge between pp. 80 and 81 lightly strained, but remainder intact. No internal markings or other faults found. Overall, an excellent copy of the definitive expanded second edition in its original binding. Rare |
