No other date, and no impression number, but not the first printing, which was marked ‘FIRST EDITION’ to the copyright page, unlike this copy. Still, a very early printing Original turquoise cloth in vgc- condition, with turquoise-gilt zodiacal glyphs to front board strong and bright, and turquoise-gilt titling to spine likewise; moderate wear to extremities of spine hinges, part of top edge of front board, and lower outer corner of rear board; wear to lower outer corner of front board; light wear to upper outer corners. In vgc original dj, with 1.2 cm tear to bottom edge of rear panel and associated horizontal creasing, 5mm tear to foot of rear hinge, trace of liquid-staining to upper inner corner of rear panel; light wear to tops of flap-folds, and light creasing towards top of spine. Deep blue endpapers intact. Ffep with former owner’s inked name and address, and a separate inked number beneath it. No other internal markings, or faults to any printed page, found.
