The Harrap edition has an attractive front board design with gilt Sun | Original full maroon cloth in very good antiquarian condition, with rubbing visible along spine hinges and to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards, and traces of patchy discoloration to cloth. Gilt titling to both front board and spine still fairly bright and strong. Covers now protected with a non-adhesive mylar dj. Acidic endpapers inoffensively slightly browned. Small perforation holes from removal of former staple that once held something to the rear fep. No previous owner markings or other faults found. A very good copy of the desirable first UK edition. |
