Original full blue cloth in vgc- condition, with 1 cm separation to foot of rear spine hinge, 5mm separation to top of same, and moderate wear to cloth over 3 (of 4) outer corners of boards. Brief red-inked signature of unclear significance to ffep, in an old style of handwriting that may be that of the author. Small printed address label of former owner adhered to ffep. As on all copies, slight rippling to lower part of title leaf caused by glue used by publisher to paste down address label (to one side) and copyright notice (to other). Separation to lowest 2 inches of inner paper hinge after copyright page. Bottom cm or so of inner paper hinges between many pages also split. Red-pencilled underlining and marginal marks, together with blue-inked marginal bracket, to p. 6. Red-pencilled marginal bracket and symbols to p. 11. Red-inked page reference and small mark to p. 13. Red-inked annotation and correction to p. 14. Blue-inked annotation to p. 15. Tables mostly have brief plain-pencilled astrological annotations to upper margins. Blue-inked marginal annotation to pp. 66 and 156; another, brief one to p. 79. Blue-inked marginal astrological glyphs to pp. 127, 147 and 149. Blue-inked calculation to rear paste-down, together with adhered small piece of white paper on which four lines from a computer program are printed. Occasional other plain-pencilled notes to early pages. Clearly a well-studied copy, but remains a good antiquarian original overall
