Foulsham & Co., 5, Pilgrim Street, Ludgate Hill, E.C., London 1916 £85 The true first edition Original full brown cloth in near-fine condition for age, with light rubbing to extremities of spine, minimal rubbing to outer corners of boards, and mild fading of lettering to spine. Internal binding remains strong. Former owner’s somewhat faded address stamp to front paste-down. Plain-pencilled bookseller notes to ffep. Hint of paper-clip staining to blank p. [18], though clips themselves long gone. Small, minor patch of foxing or similar stain to lower margin of p. 30. No previous owner markings or other faults found. An excellent, clean copy of the rare first edition.
