Ltd., 10 & 11 Red Lion Court n.d. £125 Publisher address places this impression in the range of 1922 to 1939, which matches the library-recorded publication date of 1929 for the true first edition Original full blue criss-cross-patterned cloth in vgc, with light fraying and wear to extremities of spine hinges and upper outer corners of boards, and moderate wear to lower outer corners. Black titling to front board and spine still strong and clear. Ffep bears plain-pencilled former ownership signature of Louise Jones, dated Aug 26, 1967. She is a suspected relative of the astrologer Marc Edmund Jones. Small liquid or ink splash stain to part of gutter between rfep and rear paste-down. It does not appear to have spread to any earlier pages. No other internal markings or faults found. Overall, an excellent original copy of the first edition of this very rare book
