hb Rudhyar, Dane The Pulse of Life: New Dynamics in Astrology 1st David McKay Company, Washington Square, Philadelphia 1943 £95 The true first edition of Rudhyar’s work on the astrological signs. The reprint of 1963 is much more common than this 1943 original. Original full pale blue cloth in near-fine condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine hinges and lower outer corners of boards. In vgc+ rare original dj that is slightly age-browned to spine and to periphery of flaps, and complete except for a tiny 3mm * 5mm chip lost from head of spine, which also exhibits three very short (c. 2mm each) tears; 3mm tear to foot of front flap-fold; and light creasing to upper margins of front flap and rear panel. Internally fine, with old plain-pencilled faint bookseller notes to ffep, but no other markings and no faults found. The dust jacket rarely survives at all, let alone in such structurally sound condition as here.
