Complete thus. | Original full black cloth with gilt titling to spine, in vgc+ condition, with light rubbing to extremities of spine and outer corners of boards, else about fine. Former owner’s blue-inked signature to ffep. Endpapers slightly browned (acidic). Trace of waviness to paper in centre of lower margins of preliminary leaves only. The first essay, Dissonant Harmony, together with the beginning of the second one, The New Sense of Space, has some plain-pencilled underlining and marginal bracketing, which could be erased if not wanted. I found no markings after p. 7 of The New Sense of Space or to any of the five remaining essays, although similar minor plain-pencilled markings are possible. No permanent internal markings or other faults found. A very good copy of a very scarce and early book by Rudhyar. |
