hb Charubel [Alan Leo’s Astrological Manuals, No. 8:] The Degrees of the Zodiac Symbolised, to which is added a translation by Sepharial of a similar series in “La Volasfera” 3rd L. N. Fowler & Co., 7, Imperial Arcade, Ludgate Circus, E.C. 4, London n.d. £55 After the 2nd edition of 1907, whose main text pagination it matches. This copy probably from the early 1930s, as it was found with an original advertising flyer for Charles Carter’s ‘The Astrology of Accidents’ inside (not supplied), and an early owner’s signature is dated 1934 to the ffep. Original small-format full green cloth in vgc+ condition, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine and light rubbing to outer corners of boards. This copy’s boards and spine a deep shade of green, with no sunning apparent. Binding strong. Inked signature of early owner to ffep. dated Aug. 30, 1934, together with two later plain-pencilled numbers. Occasional faint plain-pencilled marginal annotations or ticks, but no permanent internal markings found. Another excellent copy
