Gilt titling to front board intact; to spine, it is relatively faded but remains legible. Small patch of scuffing to closed top edge of page block. Internally near-fine. Tiny 2mm tear to top edge of leaf comprising pp. 95-96. Old plain-pencilled bookseller notes to rear paste-down, but no permanent internal markings or other faults found. Overall, a vgc+ copy of the rare first edition |
