First impression of 2,000 copies, May 1925 | Original full blue diagonally ribbed cloth in near-fine condition, with almost no wear; very slight rubbing to outer edge of front board; gilt titling to spine still strong and intact; spine colour very slightly sun faded. Early black-inked owner’s signature to ffep, together with a few plain-pencilled booksellers’ notes and a small possibly inked date. Small patch of heavy foxing to inner margins of pp. 24-5. No other markings found. Binding remains strong and bright. An excellent original impression of the first edition. |
