Gilt to front board still reasonably strong; to spine, partly faded but still clear to read. Page edges and acidic free endpapers slightly foxed, and some foxing to upper margins of internal pages. Old partly erased plain-pencilled bookseller notes to parts of front endpapers. Binding strong throughout. No permanent internal markings or other faults found. A near-excellent copy of this early printing
