Foreword dated 1934, which matches the publisher address: this was current from 1922 to 1939 Original blue cloth in vgc (light wear to extremities of spine and tips of outer corners of boards), with blind-stamped lettering to front board (as issued) and (faded) gilt titling to spine. The boards remain a pleasingly deep shade of blue; the spine is mildly sun-faded. Internally, occasional plain-pencilled underlining and marginal bracketing to a few words and parts of paragraphs. No permanent markings found. Charming miniature old professionally printed bookseller sticker to rear paste-down (James Miles Books of Leeds).
