Ltd., London 1947 £30   Original full blue cloth in vgc- condition, with moderate rubbing to extremities of spine and light rubbing to outer corners of boards and parts of bottom edges, but boards are generally clean. Gilt to spine perished but titles still clearly legible. Ffep with a few plain-pencilled bookseller notes. Occasional plain-pencilled marginal bracketing within. One plain-pencilled underlining spotted on p. 178, but no permanent markings found. Binding remains strong. Overall, a decent, near-vgc copy of the first edition.
