The first edition of this book is always undated in print. Library records show that it was published in 1939 Original full green vertically ribbed cloth in vgc+ condition for age, with light-to-moderate rubbing to parts of extremities of spine, moderate wear to cloth over lower outer corners of boards, and light rubbing to upper outer corners. Gilt titling to spine still strong and bright. Hinges intact; binding remains strong. Internally near-fine, with no markings or faults found. Overall, an excellent copy of the first edition
