Complete in xii + 340 pages Original full orange cloth in vgc+ condition for age, with no tears, only mild rubbing to extremities. Gilt titling to front board still strong and bright; to spine, mostly strong and bright. Ffep with old hand-inked signature of an early owner, and a plain-pencilled price. Paper hinge between ffep and title page strained, but underlying binding holding. Very occasional other mild straining between page gatherings, but mostly strongly bound. Most pages clean and unmarked. Old, faint yellow highlighting to pp. 34-5, 38, 40-1, 44, 46, 49, 51-6, so faint it’s inoffensive and easy not to spot at all. No ink or coloured pencil markings or other faults found. Overall, a very nicely conserved copy of this rare and highly collectible early edition
