The Science of the Stars 1st Simpkin, Marshall, & Co., London 1881 £100 The true first edition Original deep green cloth in good- condition, with fraying to cloth at extremities of spine and along parts of rear spine hinge; wear to outer corners of boards. Front inner paper hinge fully split: needs repair. Leaves from p. vii-14 feel slightly loose in binding, though still attached. Rear fep loosening from binding at upper half. Occasional plain-pencilled marginal bracketing and slight soiling to pages, but no permanent marks found. First editions of this book are rare in any condition. Condition has been factored into price.
