Grimm, Römerstraße 1, München 1920 £30 336 pages + 1 leaf of advertisements Publisher’s original yellow paper-covered boards in fair condition, with heavy separation down both spine hinges, although boards still holding; paper worn at 3 (of 4) outer corners of boards. Both inner paper hinges sound. Former owner’s inked annotations to copyright page and to margins of facing plate. Small hole in outer margin of leaf comprising pp. 31-2, far from text. Binding heavily cracked between pp. 330 and 331; needs strengthening there. Front paste-down with a couple of small black-inked marks and notes, and a note in plain pencil. Plain-pencilled marginal sums to pp. 80 and 331 (it seems possible others, similar, could be hiding elsewhere). Old signature to rear fep. A generally very clean copy, and a worthy candidate for professional repair of the outer spine. A rare book in any condition
