N. Fowler 1911 £40 Dated 1911 in print to the title page, showing this to be the true first edition. Authorship is credited to ‘The Sub-Editor of Modern Astrology’, who was Alfred Barley. Original full cloth in vgc for age, with fraying to cloth at bottom 3mm of spine and very slightly near top of spine; wear to cloth over lower outer corners of boards, and minimally over upper outer corners; traces of liquid-staining to inner margin of rear board. Internally, some plain-pencilled annotations and occasional underlinings, but no permanent markings or other faults found. A very good copy of the rare first edition of this frequently reprinted book
